So, if you have talked to Paige lately, you will know that she has been a bit concerned that Reid has not rolled over yet. Reid is pretty much mastering sitting, but she still hasn't started rolling. Yes, she rolled once from her back to her front and once from her front to her back, but it was on accident. And it was at Christmas - eons ago in baby time. So, we have gotten very serious about tummy time; Reid practices tummy time 30 minutes each day. Then today Paige decided that the dog was an impediment. Reid needed to be free to play on the floor without interference from Dexter. This morning Paige put Dexter in his crate and let Reid play unfettered on the floor. Reid traveled all over the rug inch-worm style on her back playing with her toys for an hour. Finally after about one hour and twenty minutes, she had managed to get off the rug onto the wood floor. Then apparently, she decided that it would be interesting to taste wood. That gave her enough incentive to try to roll. After three tries, over she went. YEAHHH!!! Mom yelled loud enough to wake dad from his slumber.
Again tonight, Dexter went in his crate while Reid played on the floor - this time with dad and Dana. Dad had the camera out and was snapping photos as Reid started her rolling trials again. And then over she went again! YEAHHH!!! Mom thinks that twice in one day is surely not an accident. We are hoping she keeps this up tomorrow. By weeks end, she might just be a rolling-pro. This isn't the picture of her rolling, but it was a really sweet photo of her smiling. Dana took this today.
Also, after mom panicked about not having a camcorder, dad decided to prove there were movies of Reid's growth. He even put them on youtube for the family. Please feel free to see some highlights from Reid's short life.
