It's been a big week.

Reid Kathryn Nittler Thompson was born on Wednesday, August 20th at 7:02am. Already she is the biggest contributor of chaos to our household. Reid decided to be born a day earlier than her scheduled C-section - Paige went into labor starting at 1am and her water broke at 4am. We made a mad dash to the hospital, Paige experienced stronger contractions for a couple hours and the C-section went just fine.
It took us about a day to decide on her name, but we are very happy with our decision.
Right now, it's our second night with Reid. She is eating pretty well, but the whole breastfeeding thing is a bit complicated. It is sometimes frustrating for both Reid and Paige. We gave Reid to the nurses for about 3 hours and that gave us some quality sleep. We might do it again after this 3am feeding.

We are happy. We are a little tired. Reid is magical. The next generation is here.
