This was Reid's first St. Patrick's Day. Her Grammi and Papa David sent her a special outfit to commemorate the day. As it would only get a short use, we tried to make the most of it by wearing it on March 16th and 17th. Is it extra lucky to celebrate more than one day? As you can see, she looked quite cute in it, but it was also cute how she kept trying to lift it over her head. It was her first dress, and that extra fabric was just so much fun to play with.
Reid is progressing in many ways. She is uttering some new syllables. She really loves the sound - ba. She sometimes repeats it over and over all day. I keep trying to get her to work on - ma. I am determined she is going to say mama first!
She is eating many new foods. She has tried sweet potatoe, broccoli, cauliflower, butternut squash, banana and avocado. She was allergic to avocado, but all the rest were fun. We are now starting to move onto small bits she can feed herself. I tried rice last night. She managed to get a small amount in her mouth. Much of it ended up on her face and in her hair, but boy was she happy:) Pictures below.
Reid is sitting up like a champ these days. She can reach far away for toys without falling. Now she is starting to work on pulling up. She pulls up onto me when I lay on the floor playing beside her. She loves standing while holding onto something for support. She is also making some progress towards crawling. She is getting her knees underneath her when she is on her tummy, and she is even rocking back-and-forth a bit. We think we need to speed up the babyproofing as she will be crawling very soon.
And tomorrow she will be 7 months! It is amazing how fast it is going by!
