The Good Times... The Wet Times...

Sometimes, things just work.  Reid eats, she burbs, she immediately falls asleep, and we place her in a basinett where she remains quiet for a couple hours.  Oh, it sounds nice.  I'm pretty sure that hasn't happened.  Usually, she eats, she needs her diaper changed, she eats some more, she struggles as she poops, she needs her diaper changed, she eats again, she rests, she spits up all over everything, we change her clothes and some sheets, she cries because she is tired, and then after about 20 minutes of soothing she falls asleep about an hour before she needs to eat again.
That wet spot on my shirt is the first time that she has peed on someone.  I'm not sure how she did it - her diaper was on and pretty dry... Talent... Pure Talent.
By the way, I love spending 20 minutes to sooth her.  Once she calms down initially, it is a lovely little game where I try to calm her while reducing the amount of swaying, shooshing and patting needed to calm her.  Eventually, we shoot for the goal and try to set her down in a basinett.  About half the time it works.
So, now we have her sleep in the bed with us - which has been great on many levels.
Yeah, it's all about sleep, poop, pee and feeding around here.   The rest of life is just bonus.
