Reid dressed up on Halloween. We took her trick-or-treating at some of the merchant's shops on our commercial strip and to a few neighbors' houses. She didn't quite get the concept of grabbing candy, nor did she have any idea what candy was. She did enjoy seeing the neighbors' dogs. In fact, at one neighbors' house, their little 4-year-old was proudly holding out the candy bowl for Reid to choose a candy. Reid heard the dog barking ferociously upstairs, and in typical Reid-style she bypassed the candy bowl much to the little girl's chagrin and bee-lined her way upstairs to see the dog. It was the perfect example of her little lion spirit.
After visiting a few houses, we headed back to our own house to hand out candy. We decided that rather than making all the little ones traipse up and down our stairs to the front porch, we would set up shop near the garage. Tyler, Dana, Reid, and I sat on chairs near the garage handing out candy for two hours. We had about 200 trick or treaters come by. We went through 10 bags of candy. Reid loved it. Tyler and I loved it. It was great fun for all.
Here are some snapshopts of our little lion.
